Our Process

At Poise & Ivy Design, every project begins with clarity. My process is designed to help you make confident decisions without overwhelm, ensuring each step is thoughtful, efficient, and aligned with your goals.

1. Initial Inquiry

Start by reaching out through the contact form and sharing a bit about your project. This helps me understand your needs and determine the best next step.

2. Design Consultation

Most projects begin with a design consultation. This meeting allows us to review your space, discuss goals, and explore design direction together.

The consultation provides professional guidance and helps determine whether additional design services would be beneficial for your project.

3. Consultation Intake & Preparation

Prior to our meeting, you’ll complete a brief intake form. This allows me to come prepared with an understanding of your space, preferences, and priorities so our time together is focused and productive.

4. Recommendations & Next Steps

Following the consultation, I’ll recommend the service or package best suited to your project. This may include paint design, room-by-room design, or a more comprehensive design package.

5. Design Agreement & Defined Scope

If you choose to move forward, we’ll formalize the next phase with a design agreement outlining the scope, fees, and expectations. This ensures clarity before any design work begins.

6. Design Development

Once the agreement is in place, design work begins according to the selected service. Deliverables and timelines vary based on the package chosen, but all services are approached with the same level of care and attention to detail.

7. Implementation Support

Depending on your selected service, I provide organized design documentation and guidance to help you confidently move forward with implementation.

A Thoughtful, Clear Experience

My goal is to create a process that feels supportive, transparent, and intentional—from the first conversation through final decisions.

If you’re unsure where to start, the design consultation is always the best place to begin.
